Share your garden dreams and goals with us! We’ll discuss your style, available space, and gardening experience to create a garden design that inspires you to live your best daily. The consultation includes a custom garden design and a detailed estimate.
2. Design + Plan
We are excited to present a garden design that aligns with your style and goals. When you're ready, say, "Let's build it." Our team will take your custom plan and handle all the details. We'll manage the installation of your kitchen garden, ensuring it feels like a natural extension of your home, without any heavy lifting on your part.
3. Install
A team will install your kitchen garden, level the ground, add pathways, raise beds and trellises, add organic compost soil, install irrigation, and do a one-time vegetable planting. Maintenance care plans are available to help you get the most out of the garden.

Hello, I’m Faith Ford,
The founder of floracotta®. I've always loved plants; many of my earliest memories involve foraging wild berries, gardening, and laying in the grass for hours looking for a four-leaf clover. Maybe you have similar memories.
As I grew older, I served as the Beautification Chair for the Los Feliz Improvement Association in Los Angeles, California, hosting clean-ups and protecting the Historic Deodar cedar trees on Los Feliz Blvd.
When 2020 arrived, my work in events came to a halt due to Covid; with the newfound time, I spent my time in the garden and studying soil biology.
I started to realize the massive impact soil microorganisms' have on our plants, health, and environment. As a new soil advocate, I also fell in love with the beauty of the kitchen garden. I realized I could pivot my career to align with my values and merge my passion for gardening, design, and soil biology into a company that looks good does good, and feels good.
I find land & water stewards, seed savers, regenerative farmers, and home gardeners to be the unsung heroes of our time and essential to our future.
In the fall of 2020, I founded floracotta®. My favorite part of being a small business owner is the people, sharing the mystique a home garden can offer and encouraging others to grow a little bit of food to support a healthy planet for healthy humanity through the practices of regenerative organic gardening.

Faith Ford came into our lives and completely transformed our way of thinking about our garden. What were once three hillside terraces of pest infested non-producing vegetable and herb beds, transformed into beautiful, bountiful edible garden beds. She loves to source unusual plants, herbs, flowers and edible produce from heirloom and rare seeds (for fun, she goes to “seed conferences”), grows them herself and then installs them in the garden. When she doesn’t grow the plants herself, she sources them from organic small local growers. Faith is also a “soil nerd” and can spend hours talking about microbiomes (if you let her!). Educated in soil biology, she transformed our dying privet hedges into healthy green plants with her unique organic soil drenches that brought the health back to our soil and plants throughout the entire garden. I hired Faith at Floracotta in the spring of 21 to design and build a raised garden in a small space in my backyard. I didn’t think I had enough room in my backyard for anything more than a small herb garden. Boy, was I wrong! Faith's design incorporated a full 8’ x 2’ x 2’ custom cedar garden box with a custom soil blend that has produced more tomatoes, four different types of lettuce, okra, and squash than I can eat. If you're looking for someone who can get the most fresh, delicious produce in a minimal area with an eye for design that fits your current space, I 100% recommend Faith and floracotta for the job!
